What is Mom's 6 Days?
|
Mom's 6 Days is a project started by Jennifer Westby a month after she lost her mom, Roberta. On September 19, 2009 Roberta suffered a brain hemorrhage that sadly took her life on September 24, 2009.
Faced with unthinkable grief, Jennifer found a way to cope with grief, keep her mom present in her life, while honoring her giving spirit, she started Mom's 6 Days. Roberta was an advocate for random acts of kindness, and in her honor, Jennifer performs random acts of kindness each month from the 19th through the 24th. This set Jennifer on an purposeful path to help others cope with grief, and to inspire people to grieve a loved ones passing with love and a purpose. The Mom's 6 Days project influenced other projects including; The Gratitude Tour, The Kindness Angels Network and Jennifer Westby's first book, 'Six Days of Kindness, Grieving with Love and a Purpose.' Each project Jennifer starts has her mom's memory in mind, and the purpose to help others. |
